Is the Cloud For Your Business?

One of the the terms flung around these days besides 'Friend Me', "Tweet Me', or 'Let's Link Up', is the 'Cloud'. With internet connectivity becoming faster, many businesses are looking at the allure of off sourcing their email, documents, CRM to the cloud environment. However, is this the best place for YOUR company?

At Renascence IT Consulting, Inc. we have experience migrating companies to a cloud position for their email and other infrastructure needs. We are able to evaluate if the benefits might be outweighed by costs specific to your company. If you are considering moving to this new environment, contact us and we can make sure it is the right decision.

Techmentor Musings

After attending many courses at Techmentor, one overlying theme that shows itself over and over again is the need for a secure environment. Whether you have only 1 user or 80, the need to make sure your network and machines are secure overshadows the speed and performance of a server or desktop.

At Renascence IT Consulting, Inc. we take the time to stay up on current technologies and security techniques so that your company has the best available IT services available. Email or contact us if you want a team of IT professionals that not only has years of experience in the field, but also is at the cutting edge of I.T.

United States Has MOST Bot-Net Infected Computers in the World

Malware infected computers in the United States were on four times more machines than those on the second place country on the list, Brazil. Microsoft had 100% increase on detected malware systems using its malicious removal tool software versus last year, or 6.5 million systems that were cleaned worldwide.

Is your company safe from malware? Did you know that an anti-virus program is, unfortunately, not enough to protect you and your business from malicious websites, software, and links? At Renascence IT Consulting, Inc. we are aware of the newest malware and keep up to date on the tools and procedures to wrest control away from evil programs and return your company back to you.

Adobe Issues Massive Reader Patch

Adobe has released one of its most significant patches ever. This fixes over 23 bugs with its Adobe Reader product. While not quite as high as the 29 patches from last year, it is still a huge download to plug holes that could lead to malicious content being run on a user's computer.

At Renascence IT Consulting, Inc. we are committed to staying on top of programs your company uses and making sure that they are up to date, protecting your data from being leaked out to the internet. We also look at alternative programs that might be more secure and stable than some of the popular ones on the market. These products may be faster, cost less, and protect your environment better, thus leaving your business with more uptime and money in its coffers. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
