One of the newest tricks of malware is to present fake "warning" pages of different browsers and get you to download their malicious code. The infected webpage detects which of the popular browsers you are using, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome, and presents a warning page that is similar to that browser's actual layout. However the difference is that there are misspellings on the page, and it tries to get you to download software, something that none of the official web browsers would do.
With malware and viruses using more sinuous techniques to get you to infect your computer, it is hard to know how and where to protect yourself and your company. At Renascence IT Consulting, Inc. we are able to discern between real and fake downloads, and able to tackle the hard malware and viruses that may make its way onto your network. Contact us if you need assistance or have questions.
